MLS Leaders Unite to Tackle the Most Pressing Issues Facing MLSs in Midst of Widespread Industry Change
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (September 22, 2022) – REsides, the first and only MLS to launch a revolutionary new equity-ownership model for its members, announced today that Colette Stevenson, CEO, will attend the national CMLS Conference next week. The 3-day conference attracts MLS leaders throughout the country who will gather and take ownership of driving the needed change in MLS to compete in today’s changing marketplace. This year’s conference is being held at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis from September 28-30, 2022.
Stevenson has been on the forefront of leading change in MLS for years. She attends conferences, speaks about dramatic change affecting MLSs and is committed to building the MLS of the future – an MLS Without Boundaries – that empowers and compensates brokers for their valuable listing data.
“As we come together as MLSs, the value is in protecting our data and our brokers for the longer term,” Stevenson said. “Real estate has changed dramatically with big tech and now, more than ever, it’s time to shift the focus on recognizing and rewarding brokers for their valuable listing data with new compensation models,” she added. “We have taken tremendous steps and continue to lead the way forward for brokers who seek more control of their future,” Stevenson said.
Under the theme, Accelerate, CMLS will offer an inspiring keynote speaker, Derek Daly, World Class Formula One and Indy 500 driver, master of fast and best-selling author and 25-year network TV analyst. The agenda showcases valuable and important topics facing MLSs that include analyzing data, the general state of MLS, legal and compliance requirements in addition to the positioning of MLS as the value engine.
“I look forward to connecting with my MLS peers and colleagues next week as we roll up our sleeves and work together to collaborate like never before on the opportunities and challenges facing our industry,” Stevenson said.
